Enjoy actor and activist Jimmy Wong's inspiring interview at the Gen-Z Global Forum 2021.
Listen to the interview with the author Kim Bendheim about the extraordinary Maud Gonne as we celebrate the launch of her new book The Fascination of What's Difficult, A Life of Maud Gonne.
The legendary Maud Gonne left her mark on everyone she met. Born into tremendous privilege, she allied herself with rebels and the downtrodden and openly defied what was at the time the world’s most powerful empire. An actress and journalist, she was the muse to the great Irish poet W.B. Yeats. Yet, dedicated her life to the cause of Irish independence and prisoner rights and changed the world.
What a perfect time to tell Maud Gonne’s story! A style icon with a Parisian education, extraordinary Maud defied convention to become an early media influencer who used the media to make a difference decades before women had the right to vote.
